Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing elective ERCP, 2. Both sexes, aged >=80 years old, 3. American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) grade I-III, 4.BMI: 18-30kg/m2.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients requiring tracheal intubation under general anesthesia, 2. Patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, 3. Patients allergic to local anesthetics, 4. History of upper respiratory tract infection within 14 days, 5. History of nasal surgery or abnormal nasal structure, 6. Recent nasal and facial trauma, 7. History of skull base fracture, 8. Unwilling or unable to provide informed consent.
