40 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 40-70 years, either sex. 2. Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus according to the diagnostic and classification criteria in the "Chinese Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Diabetes Mellitus (2024 Edition)". 3. Complete clinical data available. 4. Willing to participate and has signed informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Subjects with type 1 diabetes or any other specific types of diabetes. 2. Individuals with a history of hypertension. 3. Patients with any renal disease, including acute or chronic glomerulonephritis, urinary-tract infection, etc. 4. Subjects with moderate-to-advanced chronic kidney disease. 5. Presence of acute diabetic complications such as diabetic ketoacidosis or hyperosmolar hyperglycaemic state. 6. Concomitant anaemia. 7. Use of insulin, immunosuppressants, corticosteroids, iron preparations, or anti-inflammatory drugs within the past month. 8. Autoimmune disorders. 9. Severe systemic illnesses: serious infection; 1.marked impairment of cardiac, hepatic or renal function (e.g. heart failure, uraemia, total bilirubin >171 µmol/L or direct bilirubin >34 µmol/L, prothrombin activity 707 µmol/L and/or BUN >28.6 mmol/L; 3.severe water–electrolyte or acid–base disturbances (e.g. serum potassium >6.5 mmol/L, metabolic acidosis with pH <7.2); 4.malignancy. 10. Pregnant or lactating women, or women taking long-term oral contraceptives.
