Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Preoperative ultrasound shows that diaphragm displacement, diaphragm thickening fraction, and end-expiratory diaphragm thickness are within the normal range: (1) DE: female >9mm, male >10mm; (2) DTF: within 20-36%; (3) Tdi: 2.4+/-0.8mm; 2. Age >18 years; 3. Patients undergoing cardiopulmonary bypass cardiac surgery in our hospital.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Under 18 years of age; 2. History of neuromuscular diseases such as myasthenia gravis, myasthenic syndrome, periodic paralysis, or polymyositis; 3. Previous thoracotomy or pneumothorax; 4. BMI >35; 5. Postoperative subcutaneous emphysema significantly affecting ultrasound imaging; 6. Large burn scars on the anterior chest or a history of chest wounds, radical mastectomy, or other conditions affecting diaphragm ultrasound examination; 7. Patients or their families refuse to sign the written informed consent or withdraw midway; 8. Patients unable to cooperate with the experiment due to a history of mental illness or cognitive impairment; 9. Preoperative radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or other treatments that may affect diaphragm function.
