Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Experimental and health controls: 1. Experimental group: (1) Adolescents and young adults aged 12–30 years (2) A history of recent self-injurious behavior, with at least one episode in the past month and a total of at least four episodes (3) Right-handed (4) No comorbid diagnosis of other severe mental illnesses (5) Able to cooperate with EEG and functional MRI scans, with no contraindications for MRI 2. Healthy control group: (1) Age-, gender-, and education level-matched to the NSSI group (2) No history of any mental disorders or self-injurious behavior
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Severe physical illnesses, psychotic disorders, perceptual disorders, substance dependence, or history of neurological diseases; (2) Metal implants in the head or history of cranial surgery; (3) Pregnancy or lactation; (4) Recent suicide attempts or severe suicidal tendencies.
