40 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Right-handed, aged between 40 and 70 years old; 2. Meeting the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) diagnostic criteria for trigeminal neuralgia; 3. Duration of illness exceeding three months; 4. Meeting the diagnostic criteria for recurrent trigeminal neuralgia published in Chinese Journal of Pain Medicine in 2022.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Comorbid with brain tumor, hepatitis, epilepsy, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, or coronary heart disease; 2. Other types of pain disorders, such as dysmenorrhea, tension-type headache, migraine, chronic back pain, etc.; 3. History of mental/systemic diseases or mental disorders; 4. Recent use of prescription medications or history of substance abuse; 5. Individuals with alcohol or drug addiction; 6. Claustrophobia; 7. Presence of metallic implants in the body.
