SCCT group:Resident: Trained under the SCCT teaching model.
Child patient: Receives pit and fissure sealant procedure performed by a resident trained under the SCCT teaching model.
Control group:Resident: Received conventional training.
Child patient: Received pit and fissure sealant procedure performed by a resident in the control group who underwent conventional training.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Resident Physician: 1. From April 2026 to April 2027, 40 resident physicians in our hospital’s dental department participated in standardized residency training; 2. No special training experience; 3. No work experience; 4. Right-handed; 5. No history of major diseases. Patient: 1. Primary school children who visited our hospital’s dental department from April 1, 2026, to April 1, 2027; 2. Aged 6-12 years; 3. Children who clearly need pit and fissure sealant treatment on permanent molars; 4. No relevant systemic diseases; 5. At least one fully erupted first permanent molar; 6. Cooperative patients; 7. The treated teeth have no caries; 8. Patients who adhere to follow-up for more than 12 months.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Resident Physician: 1. Non-right-handed; 2. History of major illnesses; 3. Has work experience or has undergone special related training. Patient: 1. Poor cooperation; 2. Decayed teeth; 3. Poor oral hygiene and unable to accept education; 4. Severe systemic disease and unable to tolerate treatment; 5. Follow-up time less than 12 months.
