Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Meets the criteria for severe pneumonia established by the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) / American Thoracic Society (ATS); 2. Meets the indications for BAL (bronchoalveolar lavage); 3. Has no history of allergies to the medical drugs involved in this study; 4. Medical records are complete and detailed; 5. Age >= 60 years; 6. CT images are qualified; 7. Patient provides informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Cannot be treated with fiberoptic bronchoscopy; 2. Individuals with immunodeficiency or severe autoimmune diseases; 3. Those who cannot tolerate BAL treatment; 4. Those with other severe lung diseases; 5. Those with special diseases such as AIDS or gonorrhea; 6. Those who have not completed relevant examinations; 7. Those who have not given informed consent; 8. Others.
