Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Age > 65 years; (2) AF demonstrated on admission electrocardiogram.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Concurrent renal insufficiency (serum creatinine > 265 µmol/L, or chronic kidney disease stage 4 or 5); (2) Concurrent severe hepatic insufficiency [alanine aminotransferase (ALT) exceeding 3 times the upper limit of normal (ULN) or higher]; (3) History of malignancy or chemotherapy/radiotherapy within the past year; (4) Hyperthyroidism; (5) Concurrent infections, hematologic disorders, or connective tissue diseases affecting CBC patients; (6) Patients requiring recent blood transfusions or invasive mechanical ventilation.
