Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Mechanical ventilation duration >=7 days; 2.Age >= 18 years; 3.Successful passage of the initial ventilator weaning screening;
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Pregnant patients; 2.Patients with known neuromuscular diseases; 3.Patients with severe traumatic brain injury; 4.Contraindications for the placement of an esophageal balloon catheter (e.g., uncontrolled coagulopathy, nasopharyngeal mass, esophageal varices); 5.Patients with a tracheostomy;
