Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged >=18 years; 2. Adult patients scheduled for elective thoracic surgery (including lobectomy or segmentectomy) via video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS); 3. Willing to participate in the study, provide written informed consent, and commit to completing the 30-day postoperative follow-up.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe Comorbidities: (1) Cardiovascular diseases: Uncontrolled heart failure (NYHA class III–IV), acute myocardial infarction or unstable angina within 6 months prior to surgery; (2) Respiratory diseases: Severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD, FEV1% 30% on HRCT); (3) Immunocompromised status: HIV infection (CD4+ T-cell count 500 mL/hour).
