Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients aged 18–60 years, regardless of gender, who require third molar extraction in the Department of Stomatology of our hospital due to impacted wisdom teeth, supernumerary teeth, orthodontic treatment needs or dental diseases, and from whom dental photographs (for postoperative follow-up) are collected. 2.In good general health, without severe systemic diseases (e.g., diabetes mellitus, coagulation disorders, immune deficiency, severe cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases) or acute local oral infections (e.g., acute onset of pericoronitis, periodontal abscess), and able to tolerate third molar extraction surgery and dental photography. 3.The third molars are intact (without severe caries, defects, or fractures), and the quality of dental photographs meets the required standards (clear images, complete dental features, no obvious occlusion). Participants voluntarily participate in this study, sign the informed consent form, and agree to the use of third molar samples and dental photographs for scientific research purposes. 4. Voluntarily participate in this study, sign the informed consent form, and agree to use third molar samples and dental photos for research purposes.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients under 18 years old or over 60 years old, in poor physical condition and unable to tolerate tooth extraction surgery, or unable to cooperate with dental photography due to cognitive impairment, severe limited mouth opening, or other reasons. 2. Patients whose third molars have severe decay, defects, splits, or whose samples are contaminated or damaged after extraction, making them unsuitable for subsequent research; or if the tooth photos are blurry or missing key features (such as the third molar's appearance not fully captured), preventing effective correlation with the sample. 3. Pregnant or breastfeeding women, or those with mental illness, severe periodontal disease, or hematological disorders that may affect sample/photo quality and follow-up compliance. 4. Patients who refuse to sign the informed consent form or explicitly oppose using their third molar samples, dental photos, and clinical information for research purposes.
