Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.The participants voluntarily signed the informed consent form; 2.Aged 18–68 years (male or female); 3.A history of recurrent ankle sprains, with the initial ankle sprain occurring at least 12 months prior to enrollment; 4.Patients diagnosed with chronic ankle instability in a standardized manner using a validated ankle instability screening tool, with reference to the guidelines of the International Ankle Consortium; 5.A history of ankle sprain within six months prior to enrollment, with self-reported ankle instability; 6.Intermittent ankle pain during walking, running and daily activities within one week prior to enrollment.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.A history of prior surgery for any lower extremity musculoskeletal structure (e.g., bones, joint structures, and nerves); 2.A history of lower extremity fractures; 3.Acute injury of musculoskeletal structures in other lower extremity joints within the previous 3 months that impairs joint integrity and function; 4.Abnormally increased or decreased knee Q-angle (15+/-5°); 5.Navicular drop >= 9 mm or <= 5 mm under weight-bearing conditions.
