Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: General Standard (all objects must meet) : 1. Age: 50 to 80 years old. Residents who are permanently stationed in the local area and have no plans to move within five years. 2. Be conscious and possess basic communication and comprehension skills; 3. Voluntarily participate in this study and sign a written informed consent form. 4. There was no severe loss of oral function at baseline. Specific criteria for different recruitment arms: Hospital arm inclusion criteria (at least one of the following must be met) : Those who have been clearly diagnosed by an oral specialist as having moderate to severe periodontitis; 2. Those with less than 20 natural teeth in the oral cavity (missing or defective teeth); 3. Those who complain of obvious difficulty in chewing or dry mouth. Inclusion criteria for community arms: No specific disease requirements, and compliance with general standards is acceptable.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Those who suffer from severe mental illnesses (such as schizophrenia) or severe cognitive impairments (such as the middle and advanced stages of Alzheimer's disease) and are unable to cooperate in completing the investigation and assessment; 2. Those in the active treatment period (radiotherapy and chemotherapy) or advanced stage of malignant tumors, with an expected lifespan of less than one year; 3. Those who are unable to complete the core function assessment due to severe disabilities (such as hemiplegia or advanced Parkinson's disease); 4. Those who are currently participating in other interventional clinical trials.
