Interventions

Low-GI Lentil-Based Snack Bar:Participants will consume a low-GI snack bar (SOYJOY) 60 minutes before performing HIIT. Each condition will be separated by a washout period of 3 days to minimize carryo
High-GI Snack Bar:Participants will consume a high-GI snack bar (Snickers Mars) 60 minutes before performing HIIT. Each condition will be separated by a washout period of 3 days to minimize carryover
No Food Consumption:Participants will perform HIIT without consuming any food prior to the session. Each condition will be separated by a washout period of 3 days to minimize carryover effects.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 16 recreationally active young adults (ages 18-30; 8 male and 8 female). Regularly engages in physical activity at least 3 times per week.
