Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1 Inclusion Criteria for the Experimental Group (1) Patients confirmed as malignant tumor cases by pathology or cytology; (2) Presence of fever with a body temperature > 37.3?; (3) Aged > 18 years. 2 Inclusion Criteria for the Control Group For the control group, clinical data were collected retrospectively. Enrollment was permitted only when the following symptoms, signs, laboratory test results, cytopathological data and imaging findings were all documented in the medical records: (1) Patients confirmed as malignant tumor cases by pathology or cytology; (2) Body temperature > 37.3? documented in the medical records; (3) Aged > 18 years; (4) Availability of complete blood count (white blood cell count), procalcitonin (PCT), C-reactive protein (CRP), culture results of the infected site, blood culture results and imaging findings in the medical records; (5) Availability of medication administration records in the medical records; (6) Availability of documented patient outcomes in the medical records.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients not confirmed as malignant tumor cases by pathology or cytology; 2. Absence of fever; 3. Inability to cooperate in providing qualified blood samples.
