Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Age: Patients aged >= 65 years; 2.Diagnosis: Intertrochanteric femoral fracture (time from fracture to hospital admission < 48 hours); 3.Hemoglobin level: Initial emergency hemoglobin (Hb) test result ranging from 95 to 130 g/L (95 <= Hb <=130 g/L); 4.Treatment consent: Patients consented to undergo proximal femoral nail (PFN) surgery; 5.Informed consent: Written informed consent was signed by the patients.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Hypersensitivity to tranexamic acid (TXA); 2.Concurrent other fractures requiring surgical intervention; 3.Pathological fracture; 4.Hypercoagulable state diseases, such as renal failure, hepatic insufficiency, thrombotic disorders (e.g., deep vein thrombosis [DVT] or pulmonary embolism [PE]); 5.Known hemorrhagic diseases, such as hemophilia; 6.Patients with severely incomplete clinical data that fail to meet the requirements for research data collection.
