Diabetic periarthritis of the shoulder

Interventions

Treatment group:Drug intervention: Metformin sustained-release tablets (starting at 500mg, titrated to 2000mg/d within 2 weeks) Rehabilitation plan: Standardized shoulder joint rehabilitation training
Control group:Drug intervention: Placebos with the same appearance (the same titration protocol) Rehabilitation plan: The same standardized rehabilitation training

40 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Aged 40 to 70, with shoulder pain lasting more than 3 months 2.VAS pain score > 40mm(0-100mm) 3. Limited shoulder joint movement (abduction < 90°, external rotation < 30°) 4. Diabetes group: HbA1c 6.5%-9.0% and stable for more than 3 months 5. Non-diabetic group: HbA1c < 5.7%

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Full-thickness rotator cuff tear or recent history of shoulder surgery 2. Inflammatory joint diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis 3.eGFR 3×ULN) 4. Contraindications for metformin (history of lactic acidosis, severe heart and lung diseases) 5. During the research period, it is planned to receive shoulder joint injection treatment
