Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 40–75 years meeting diagnostic criteria for diabetes, coronary heart disease, chronic liver disease, chronic kidney disease, chronic lung disease, cancer, etc. Complete relevant clinical biochemical indicators (such as blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, blood lipids, liver and kidney function) and clinical evaluation records are available within 3 months before or after the MRI examination. Standardized cranial MRI scans have been completed, and the image quality is suitable for post-processing analysis. A control group matched for age and gender with the case group is recruited. The control group has no history of non-brain chronic diseases (such as coronary heart disease, stroke, or cancer). Routine physical examinations and biochemical indicators are all within normal ranges. Qualified MRI data acquired during the same period and using the same scanner are available.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. MRI Contraindications or Interference: Presence of contraindications for MRI examination. Discovery during scanning of non-vascular intracranial space-occupying lesions, brain tumors, history of brain trauma, hydrocephalus, multiple sclerosis, or other organic brain diseases. Images with severe motion artifacts or metal artifacts that preclude analysis. 2. History of Neurological Diseases: Clinical diagnosis of stroke (including lacunar infarction), dementia, Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, or other major neurological disorders. 3. History of Psychiatric Disorders: Diagnosis of severe psychiatric disorders (e.g., schizophrenia, bipolar disorder) or current use of high-dose psychotropic medications. (Note: This criterion may require adjustment if studying depression comorbidity.) 4. Other Major Systemic Diseases: Severe hepatic or renal insufficiency (e.g., eGFR < 30 mL/min/1.73m²). Active autoimmune diseases. History of malignant tumors. 5. Substance Abuse: History of alcohol or drug dependence. 6. Incomplete Data: Missing key clinical data or essential MRI sequences.
