Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Age >= 18 years; 2.Diagnosed with severe infection or sepsis (according to the Sepsis-3 criteria) within 24 hours after ICU admission; 3.Planned to receive standard treatment with an expected hospital stay of >= 3 days; 4.Able to provide written informed consent, or consent obtained from a legal representative.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Use of glucocorticoids or other immunosuppressive agents for >= 7 days prior to enrollment; 2.Presence of end-stage malignancy, AIDS, or other severe immunodeficiency disorders; 3.Pregnant or breastfeeding women; 4.Hospitalized for >= 48 hours prior to ICU admission; 5.Refusal to participate or withdrawal of informed consent;
