Sham group:Receive 60 minutes of taVNS sham stimulation daily from the day before surgery to three days after surgery

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients scheduled for elective complex spinal surgery under general anesthesia (including spinal fusion surgery, laminectomy of three or more segments, and scoliosis surgery, etc.); 2. Age >=18 years; 3. ASA class 1-3.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Skin ulceration or infection of the auricle; 2. Bradycardia (heart rate <50 beats/min) or third-degree atrioventricular block; 3. Implantable cardiac pacemaker or other electronic devices; 4. Presence of psychiatric disorders or long-term use of psychiatric medications; 5. Severe liver or kidney dysfunction; 6. Inability to understand or cooperate with the scale assessment; 7. Women who are breastfeeding or pregnant; 8. Expected to undergo a second surgery during hospitalization; 9. Expected postoperative transfer to the ICU; 10. Concurrent participation in other clinical trials.
