Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients in the obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) group met the diagnostic criteria for OCD in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5), with a Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale (Y-BOCS) score of =16, and had not taken any psychiatric medications, including anti-obsessive medications, within 8 weeks prior to enrollment; 2.Patients in the schizophrenia group with obsessive-compulsive symptoms met the diagnostic criteria for schizophrenia in DSM-5 and had a Y-BOCS score of =16. They had not taken any psychiatric medications within the 8 weeks prior to enrollment, and their obsessive-compulsive symptoms emerged before the initiation of antipsychotic treatment; 3.Age range for the two patient groups: 18 to 65 years old (inclusive); 4.Gender: Open to both male and female candidates; 5.Did not receive any psychological or physical therapy within the 8 weeks prior to enrollment; 6.At enrollment, HAMD17 score is less than 17; 7.No contraindications for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examination.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Individuals with brain organic diseases or other significant physical illnesses; 2.Individuals with other severe mental disorders; 3.History of abuse of psychoactive substances, and history of dependence on alcohol, drugs, etc; 4.Individuals with drug-induced obsessive-compulsive disorder.
