Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >= 60 years; 2. Unable to take water or food orally after gastric cancer resection; 3. Clear consciousness, Steward awakening score >= 4, normal cognition, no visual or hearing impairment, able to communicate normally; 4. Informed consent and voluntary participation in this study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Those who are directly transferred to the ward or ICU after the operation; 2.Unable to follow directive actions; 3.Those who are contraindicated for intervention due to oral disorders, cracked lips, etc; 4.Loose teeth or difficulty opening the mouth (incisors spacing <1.0 cm); 5.Patients with Sjogren's syndrome, hemodialysis, and long-term use of salivary secretion inhibitors before admission; 6.Patients with symptoms such as diabetes and heart failure that may cause thirst.
