Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >=18 years; 2. Diagnosed primarily with ASD, without other complex congenital heart defects such as atrioventricular septal defect (AVSD), Tetralogy of Fallot (ToF), transposition of the great arteries (TGA), right ventricular outflow tract obstruction (RVOTO), etc.; 3. Underwent ASD closure/repair surgery without MR surgery, including patients who had concurrent tricuspid valve surgery or maze procedure; 4. Have complete preoperative clinical data and echocardiographic data; 5. Have at least one postoperative follow-up echocardiography.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Presence of organic mitral valve disease before surgery (such as rheumatic, degenerative, infective endocarditis, chordal rupture, etc.); 2. Combined with other major cardiac surgeries that need to be performed simultaneously (such as coronary artery bypass grafting, aortic valve replacement, etc.); 3. History of previous mitral valve surgery; 4. Missing follow-up data or lost to follow-up.
