Interventions

Group A:A PENG block was performed with a total volume of 20 ml solution containing 0.33% ropivacaine plus 5 mg dexamethasone 15 minutes before surgery.
Group B:A PENG block was performed with a total volume of 20 ml solution containing 0.33% ropivacaine, 5 mg dexamethasone and 0.5 µg/kg dexmedetomidine, 15 minutes before surgery.
Group C:A PENG block was performed with a total volume of 20 ml solution containing 0.33% ropivacaine, 5 mg dexamethasone and 1.0 µg/kg dexmedetomidine, 15 minutes before surgery.

60 Years to 90 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age > 60 years old 2. Scheduled for elective hip surgery under general anesthesia 3. American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status classification I-III 4. Have a clear understanding of the trial protocol, voluntarily participate in the trial, and sign the informed consent form

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Coagulation or neurological dysfunction 2. Long-term use of analgesic drugs 3. History of mental illness or communication disorders 4. Infection at the puncture site or lower extremity motor dysfunction 5. Inability to understand or complete the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) for pain assessment
