Conditions

Pregnant and postpartum women and their partners who experience perinatal loss (pregnancy loss from =20 weeks of gestation to 28 days postpartum) due to medical reasons such as fetal malformations, stillbirth, or intrauterine death, and who consequently develop psychological stress responses such as grief, anxiety, and depression.

Interventions

Experimental group:Receive the evidence-based, systematically constructed care intervention provided by this study
Control group:Receive routine perinatal care at the hospital. Routine care includes admission assessment, induction and postpartum medical management, basic health

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for women experiencing perinatal loss: 1. Pregnant women diagnosed by a physician who require abortion, with gestational age =20 weeks, and who have signed the surgical informed consent form; 2. No mental illness or other cognitive disorders; 3. Age >18 years; 4. Married and cohabiting with spouse; 5. Informed consent and voluntary participation in this study. Inclusion criteria for spouses of women experiencing perinatal loss: 1. Accompanying the wife throughout her hospital stay for abortion; 2. No mental illness or other cognitive disorders; 3. Age >18 years; 4. Married and cohabiting with spouse; 5. Informed consent and voluntary participation in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria for women experiencing perinatal loss: 1. The spouse cannot accompany them throughout the hospital stay; 2. Participated in a psychological intervention study in the past month. Exclusion criteria for male spouses of women experiencing perinatal loss: 1. Either partner is unwilling to participate during the hospital stay; 2. Participated in a psychological intervention study in the past month.
