Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Hospitalized patients diagnosed with HZ and with a disease duration of <= 3 months; 2. Willing to sign the informed consent form; 3. Intend to participate in and comply with the educational program.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients are unfamiliar with the use of the WeChat app on mobile phones; 2. Patients had comorbid anxiety or depression prior to illness; 3. Patients lack the ability to engage in educational learning; 4. Patients have psychiatric or cognitive impairments; 5. Patients are unable to complete the standardized treatment protocol for acute-phase herpes zoster, as assessed before and during hospitalization.
