Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Elderly with MCI 1. Patients meeting the diagnostic criteria for Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI); 2. Aged >=60 years; right-handed (assessed using the Edinburgh Handedness Inventory); 3. Provide informed consent and voluntarily participate. Cognitively Normal Elderly 1.Cognitively normal elderly individuals with a Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) score >=26; 2. Aged >=60 years; right-handed (assessed using the Edinburgh Handedness Inventory); 3. Possess normal activities of daily living and are able to care for themselves either fully or with minimal assistance; 4. Have provided informed consent and participate voluntarily.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.History of depression or a score >=9 on the Geriatric Depression Scale-Short Form (GDS-SF); 2.Cognitive impairment caused by medications (e.g., antipsychotics, benzodiazepines), poisoning, inflammatory cerebrovascular disease, encephalitis, brain tumors, traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, or other neurological/medical conditions; 3.Severe systemic diseases (e.g., cardiac/hepatic/renal failure, malignant tumors); 4.History of brain tumors, cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage, intracranial infection, epilepsy, or other neurological disorders; 5.Severe visual, auditory, or language impairments preventing cooperation with cognitive assessments; 6.Dementia of any etiology.
