Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Altered mental status (e.g., Glasgow Coma Scale =22 breaths/minute Diagnostic criteria for sepsis: Meet the Sepsis 3.0 diagnostic criteria, which refers to life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by a dysregulated response of the body to infection. Sepsis 3.0 = infection with SOFA score >=2.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. The patient and their family voluntarily sign the informed consent form; 2. Adult ICU patients who meet the Sepsis 3.0 diagnostic criteria; 3. Patients who need bronchoscopy, and before bronchoscopy are either awake or lightly sedated with a RASS score of -2 or higher, or require sedation or deepened sedation (RASS -4 or -5). In addition, the sedatives used for bronchoscopy are propofol or remimazolam.
