Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for patients with schizophrenia: 1. During the acute stage of the illness, meeting the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria, with a disease duration not exceeding 3 years, and a score of >=60 on the Positive And Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS); 2. Han ethnicity, aged 18-55 years, and having at least one guardian who has been providing guardianship for the patient within the past 1 year; 3. It is expected that there will be no issues such as relocation of residence, inconvenient transportation, or difficulty in seeking medical treatment during the entire study process; 4. Obtaining the informed consent of the patient and the guardian, and signing the informed consent form. Inclusion criteria for healthy individuals: 1. Physically healthy, without any mental disorders meeting the diagnostic criteria of DSM-5; 2. No family history of mental disorders; 3. No current severe physical diseases; 4. Han ethnicity, aged 18-55 years; 5. No statistical difference in gender and educational level compared to the patient group; 6. Able to cooperate with the completion of the assessment content of this project and sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria for patients with schizophrenia: 1. Alcohol and other substance abusers; 2. Individuals with severe physical disabilities who are unable to complete follow-up; 3. Individuals with comorbidities of other severe mental illnesses, mental retardation, dementia, and severe cognitive impairment; 4. Currently undergoing or preparing to undergo other clinical studies; 5. Have definite physical diseases such as hypertension and diabetes; 6. Laboratory tests show liver and kidney dysfunction or other serious physical diseases and metabolic disorders; 7. Pregnant or breastfeeding period. Exclusion criteria for healthy individuals: 1. Have a history of substance dependence; 2. Have suffered from brain trauma, epilepsy or other brain organic diseases; 3. Have a definite physical disease such as hypertension or diabetes; 4. Laboratory tests show liver and kidney function impairment or other serious physical diseases and metabolic disorders; 5. Pregnant or lactating.
