Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients aged 65 years or older, regardless of gender; 2. American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status classification of I-III; 3. Scheduled for non-cardiac and non-neurosurgical procedures; 4. No communication barriers and able to comply with all trial protocols.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. History of neurological disorders, dementia, or other psychiatric diseases; 2. Preoperative Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) score of less than 24 points; 3. History of severe auditory, visual, or motor impairments; 4. Presence of preoperative delirium; 5. Patients with contraindications to oral intake, gastroesophageal reflux, impaired gastric emptying, gastrointestinal obstruction, or history of upper gastrointestinal tumors; 6. History of other severe primary/underlying diseases; 7. Illiteracy or communication barriers; 8. Recent participation in other clinical trials.
