Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients meet the diagnostic criteria for cerebral infarction or intracerebral hemorrhage as outlined in the *Chinese Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Acute Ischemic Stroke (2023)* or the *Chinese Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Intracerebral Hemorrhage (2019)*; 2. Patients meet the diagnostic criteria for chronic disorders of consciousness as per the *Chinese Expert Consensus on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Chronic Disorders of Consciousness (2020)*, with the condition onset occurring within 1 year; 3. No history of neuropsychiatric disorders; 4. Age range between 18 and 80 years; 5. Participants are in stable condition with normal vital signs, specifically including heart rate, blood pressure, and respiratory rate; 6. Informed consent has been obtained from the patients' family members, who voluntarily agree to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with a history of hearing impairment or hearing loss; 2. Patients with chronic disorders of consciousness not caused by stroke; 3. Patients during an epileptic episode or currently using antiepileptic drugs; 4. Patients currently using sedative-hypnotics, neuromuscular blocking agents, or similar medications.
