Internal hemorrhoids

Interventions

Long-needle group:Cap-assisted endoscopic sclerotherapy using a 10mm long needle.
Short-needle group:Cap-assisted endoscopic sclerotherapy using a 4mm short needle.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with third-degree internal hemorrhoids according to the Goligher classification will be recruited; 2. Ineffectiveness of conservative treatments such as diet modification and medication; 3. CAES therapy will be performed for the treatment of bleeding and prolapse in patients with third-degree internal hemorrhoids.; 4. No history of allergy to lauromacrogol; 5. Signed informed consent obtained from the patients themselves.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Combined with external or mixed hemorrhoids; 2.Combined with other anorectal disorders including anal fissure, fistula and perianal abscess, or with history of anorectal surgery; 3.Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD); 4.Severe systemic comorbidities (severe cardiopulmonary, hepatic, renal, or coagulation diseases); 5.Pregnancy or history of pelvic radiotherapy/chemotherapy; 6.Allergy to lauromacrogol; 7.Incomplete clinical data or loss to follow-ups.
