Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria were Angle Class I malocclusion and good general and oral health.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria included active caries or periodontal disease, significant dentition defects, systemic disease or psychiatric disorder, ongoing orofacial pain, diagnosed depressive illness, current use of analgesic therapy, or planned tooth extraction as part of treatment.
