Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Aged >= 60 years old, regardless of gender; ASA physical status classification of grade I to III; Body mass index (BMI) of 18.5 - 30 kg/m^²; Anxiety level reaching >= 3 points on the Visual Analogue Scale for Anxiety (VAS - A) after entering the anesthesia preparation room; Informed consent obtained from the patient (the patient themselves) or their legal representative.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients allergic to the components of dexmedetomidine; Emergency surgery; Patients with unclear consciousness or coma upon entering the operating room; Patients with a history of the following diseases: heart disease, arrhythmia, central nervous system diseases, adrenocortical hypofunction, etc.; Patients with incomplete information records.
