Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria for the HFpEF patient group mainly refer to the '2021 ESC Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Acute and Chronic Heart Failure': 1. Typical symptoms and signs of heart failure; 2. LVEF >= 50%; 3. Objective evidence of cardiac structural or functional abnormalities consistent with left ventricular diastolic dysfunction and elevated left ventricular filling pressures, including concentric left ventricular hypertrophy (LV mass index =115 g/m² for men, >=95 g/m^2 for women; relative wall thickness >0.42), left ventricular diastolic dysfunction (resting E/e' >9), left atrial enlargement (left atrial volume index >34 mL/m^2), elevated natriuretic peptides (sinus rhythm: NT-proBNP >125 pg/mL, BNP >35 pg/mL; atrial fibrillation: NT-proBNP >125 pg/mL, BNP >105 pg/mL), and pulmonary artery systolic pressure >35 mmHg; 4. Age between 40 and 75 years; 5. Complete baseline data, laboratory tests, and echocardiographic information; 6. Voluntary signing of the informed consent form. The inclusion criteria for the healthy control group are: 1. Physically healthy, with no history of hypertension, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy, pericardial disease, etc.; 2. Age between 40 and 75 years; 3. Complete baseline data, laboratory tests, and echocardiographic information; 4. Voluntary signing of the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria for the HFpEF patient group: 1. Having severe valvular heart disease, congenital heart disease, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, restrictive cardiomyopathy, or pericardial disease; 2. Having malignant tumors, autoimmune diseases, hematologic diseases, thyroid diseases, or severe liver and kidney dysfunction; 3. Using antibiotics or probiotics in the past 3 months; 4. Having intestinal diseases (such as inflammatory bowel disease) or a history of intestinal surgery. Exclusion criteria for the healthy control group: 1. Having hypertension, coronary heart disease, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy, pericardial disease, etc.; 2. Using antibiotics or probiotics in the past 3 months; 3. Having intestinal diseases (such as inflammatory bowel disease) or a history of intestinal surgery.
