Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Patients with advanced proximal gastric cancer treated in our department since 2015, including Siewert type II and III adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction, gastric fundus cancer, and upper gastric body cancer; (2) Postoperative pathological diagnosis confirmed adenocarcinoma; (3) Complete clinical data available; (4) Surgical procedures included total gastrectomy or proximal gastrectomy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients with concurrent malignancies in other sites; (2) Incomplete clinical data; (3) Presence of severe cardiopulmonary dysfunction, hepatic or renal insufficiency, or other contraindications to surgery; (4) Loss to follow-up.
