Age
18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Aged between 18 and 80 years; no prior systemic therapy; newly diagnosed with or intraoperatively identified as having multinodular hepatocellular carcinoma, classified as CNLC stage Ib or IIa; initial treatment comprising surgical resection or transarterial chemoembolisation followed by surgery; Child–Pugh grade A or B; no other treatment administered prior to confirmed recurrence.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Imaging findings suggestive of vascular invasion or extrahepatic metastasis. Contraindications to hepatectomy. Poor postoperative liver function precluding tolerance to interventional therapy.
