Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Diagnosed with severe pneumonia (meeting the diagnostic criteria for community-acquired pneumonia in adults in China); (2) Mechanical ventilation duration >=48 hours; (3) Age >=18 years old; (4) The family members sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients with severe underlying cardiopulmonary diseases (such as COPD, cardiac function class IV); (2) Chest trauma or surgical history affecting ultrasound examination; (3) Immune system diseases or advanced malignant tumors.
