Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Aged >=50 years , irrespective of gender; 2) Meet the diagnostic criteria for knee osteoarthritis in the 2024 version of "Chinese guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of osteoarthritis"; 3) Inclusion of a single knee as the study subject, and the patient with bilateral knee lesions were chosen only one knee to treat with their intention; (4) Knee osteoarthritis staging was assessed as early or mild to moderate; 5) Subjects volunteered and signed an informed consent form and were willing to cooperate with the follow-up; 6) A score of 4 < VAS score < 8; 7) No previous Fu's subcutaneous needling treating experience .

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Non-primary osteoarthritis of the knee, e.g. gouty arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, drug-induced arthritis, etc., as well as those with structural damage to the knee joint caused by severe violence (e.g. car accidents, falls from height); 2)Combined uncontrollable cardiopulmonary insufficiency, liver failure and other medical diseases; 3) Subjects who underwent knee surgery within six months; (4) Subjects with a combination of cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage, lower extremity venous thrombosis, diabetic foot and other non-orthopedic aspects, but will may have an impact on the lower extremity muscle strength and pain; (5) Pregnant and lactating women; (6) Uncontrollable mental illness (7) With skin breakdown at the location for needling, large skin infections, and coagulation disorders
