Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The confirmed asthma group 1.Aged >= 18 years old; 2.Conforming to the diagnostic criteria for bronchial asthma specified in the 2024 GINA Guidelines; 3.No history of glucocorticoid treatment within 6 months prior to enrollment; 4.Having signed the informed consent form. The suspected asthma group 1.Aged >= 18 years old; 2.Conforming to all diagnostic criteria for bronchial asthma in the 2024 GINA Guidelines except for the positive result of objective examination for variable airflow limitation (meeting both the negative result of the initial bronchodilator test and a post-bronchodilator FEV1 improvement rate of < 12% or an absolute value of < 200 mL after 4 weeks of anti-asthma treatment); 3.No history of glucocorticoid treatment within 6 months prior to enrollment; 4.Having signed the informed consent form. Note: 1. Given the centralized collection of samples, patient enrollment for this project is scheduled to be conducted in December 2025, which coincides with the high-incidence season of asthma in autumn and winter. 2.Healthy controls free of any diseases were recruited and matched with confirmed asthma patients and suspected asthma patients in terms of baseline data including age, gender, and body mass index (BMI).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Having other chronic pulmonary diseases other than bronchial asthma; 2.Having a respiratory tract infection within 4 weeks prior to enrollment; 3.Pregnant or lactating women; 4.Complicated with severe diseases of the heart, liver, kidneys or other vital organs; 5.Suffering from cognitive impairment and being unable to complete the collection of exhaled breath condensate (EBC); 6.Subjects who are deemed unsuitable for participation in this trial for other reasons by the researchers.
