Experimental group:an initial dose of alfentanil ((7 µg/kg ) and ciprofol (0.4 mg/kg ) for the induction of sedation.Maintenance dose of sedation was by bolus top-ups (0.2 mg/kg for ciprofol).
control group:an initial dose of alfentanil ((7 µg/kg ) and propofol (1.5 mg/kg ) for the induction of sedation.Maintenance dose of sedation was by bolus top-ups (0.5 mg/kg for propofol).

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients undergoing elective painless gastroenteroscopy at Chongqing Red Cross Hospital; 2.Aged 18–74 years, with a BMI of 18.5–30 kg/m² and an ASA physical status classification of ?–?;
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Myocardial infarction or unstable angina within 6 months; 2.Third-degree atrioventricular block; 3.Severe snoring; 4.Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS); 5.Dialysis treatment; 6.Psychiatric/mental disorders or cognitive impairment; 7.History of abuse of psychotropic drugs or anesthetics; 8.Pregnant or lactating women; 9.Allergies or contraindications to the drugs used.
