Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Part 1: A Cross-Sectional Study on Quantitative EEG-Based Brain Function State Analysis in Chronic Cancer Pain Patients with Mood Disorders Inclusion Criteria: 1. Patients with a confirmed diagnosis of malignant tumor, presenting for the first time, assessed by an attending as requiring long-term opioid analgesic therapy, with a maximum VAS score >= 4 in the past 24 hours. 2. Age 18 years or older, with no specified upper age limit for the study. 3. Education level of primary school or higher, enabling full comprehension of the scales used in the study. 4. Awareness of their disease condition, indicating the patient has a certain understanding of their own condition and treatment plan. 5. Signed informed consent form. Patients included based on the above criteria will be further enrolled in: Part 2: A Prospective Cohort Study on the Impact of Mood Disorders on Pain Progression and Pharmacotherapeutic Efficacy in Chronic Cancer Pain Inclusion Criteria: 1. Patients with a confirmed diagnosis of malignant tumor, presenting for the first time at our hospital's Anesthesia and Pain Management Clinic, assessed by an attending physician as requiring long-term opioid analgesic therapy, with a maximum VAS score in the past 24 hours >= 4 points. 2. Age 18 years or older, with no specified upper age limit for the study. 3. Education level of primary school or higher, enabling full comprehension of the relevant scales used in the study. 4. Awareness of their disease condition, indicating the patient has a certain understanding of their own condition and treatment plan. 5. Signed informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Part 1: A Cross-Sectional Study on Quantitative EEG-Based Brain Function State Analysis in Chronic Cancer Pain Patients with Mood Disorders Exclusion Criteria: 1. Patients with other chronic pain existing before the diagnosis of malignant tumor. 2. Presence of severe or poorly controlled systemic diseases (e.g., severe cardiovascular or respiratory diseases, decompensated chronic liver or kidney dysfunction). 3. Patients experiencing psychiatric symptoms directly caused by the malignant tumor. 4. History of drug abuse or analgesic medication misuse. Patients included based on the above criteria will be further enrolled in: Part 2: A Prospective Cohort Study on the Impact of Mood Disorders on Pain Progression and Pharmacotherapeutic Efficacy in Chronic Cancer Pain 1. Patients with other chronic pain conditions existing before the diagnosis of malignant tumor. 2. Patients with confirmed brain metastases from the malignant tumor or central nervous system involvement. 3. Allergy or contraindications to oral opioids, preventing standardized opioid analgesic therapy and follow-up according to clinical guidelines. 4. Expected survival period of less than 6 months. 5. Presence of severe or poorly controlled systemic diseases (e.g., severe cardiovascular or respiratory diseases, decompensated chronic liver or kidney dysfunction). 6. Participation in or ongoing participation in other clinical studies related to cancer pain within the past 3 months. 7. History of drug abuse or analgesic medication misuse.
