Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: A patient diagnosed with dry eye syndrome following a standardized diagnostic protocol.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. History of ocular or periorbital malignancy. 2. Secondary dry eye due to scarring (e.g., radiation, alkali burn, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, cicatricial pemphigoid) or goblet cell destruction (e.g., vitamin A deficiency). 3. Active ocular or periorbital manifestations of rosacea, blepharitis, or pterygium. 4. Anatomical eyelid abnormalities (e.g., lid closure insufficiency, entropion, ectropion) or abnormal blinking. 5. Ocular findings identified via slit lamp and/or fundus examination, with clinical significance as determined by the investigator (e.g., infectious keratitis, trichiasis, glaucoma, uveitis). 6. History of intraocular surgery, laser eye surgery, or any procedure affecting the meibomian glands within 180 days prior to baseline, or planned such procedures during follow-up.
