Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Aged >= 60 years; (2) Fulfillment of the diagnostic criteria outlined in the Chinese Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Acute Ischemic Stroke 2023; (3) Fully conscious with stable vital signs, and capable of comprehending and cooperating with intrinsic-capacity assessments; (4) Provision of voluntarily signed informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Concomitant severe dysfunction of vital organs (heart, liver, kidney, etc.) or prior organic cerebrovascular disease; (2) Psychiatric illness, deaf-mutism, comprehension or cognitive impairment, disturbed consciousness, or any other condition that could compromise questionnaire completion or interview participation; (4) Permanent bedridden status, severe musculoskeletal disorders limiting mobility, or pre-existing physical disability; (5) Acute cardiovascular events or any critical, unstable medical condition precluding cooperation with the intrinsic-capacity assessment for older adults.
