Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion Criteria:? (1) Age between 12 and 18 years; (2) Meet DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for major depressive disorder (MDD), confirmed by the Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview for Children and Adolescents (M.I.N.I.-KID); (3) Score =22 on the Montgomery-Åsberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS) at baseline.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion Criteria:?? (1) Comorbid psychiatric disorders including schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, or obsessive-compulsive disorder; (2) Significant neurological disorders (e.g., epilepsy, stroke, encephalitis, traumatic brain injury) or severe systemic illnesses (e.g., malignant tumors, acute heart failure, multi-organ failure); (3) Contraindications to MRI scanning (e.g., metallic implants, claustrophobia); (4) History of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), or bright light therapy within the past 6 months; (5) Alcohol or substance use disorders within the preceding year.
