Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Healthy group: No history of tongue and oral and maxillofacial trauma, no symptoms of tongue numbness, no history of peripheral nerve diseases (such as diabetic peripheral neuropathy, autoimmune neuropathy, etc.), no metabolic diseases (such as diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, etc.), no complaints of pain in various parts of the body within the past month, no habits such as smoking and chewing betel nut that may affect nerve function, and no use of drugs that may affect the peripheral nervous system (such as isoniazid, phenytoin, etc.); 2.Glossal nerve injury group: Patients with clear complaints of sensory abnormalities (such as numbness, tingling, or decreased tactile sensitivity) in the anterior two-thirds of the tongue, and symptoms related to trauma, surgical history, or other clear causes; clinical examination (including pinprick sensation, cotton wool touch, and two-point discrimination) confirms impaired glossal nerve function;
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Healthy population group: patients who are unable to cooperate with the follow-up or testing process. 2.Glossal nerve injury group: Patients with comorbidities such as diabetes or malignant tumors, or those undergoing non-surgical treatment, were excluded; patients who were unable to cooperate with follow-up or testing procedures were also excluded.
