Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for the research group: 1. Meet the diagnostic criteria for depression in the Fifth edition of the Statistical Diagnostic Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) of the American Psychiatric Association; 2. Aged 18-60 years old; 3. Single use of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs); 4. Informed consent of guardian and cooperator. Inclusion criteria for the control group: Thirty healthy individuals matched with the age, educational level and gender of the research group were selected as the control group. All the participants (or their guardians) in the group signed the informed consent form, which was reviewed and approved by the Ethics Committee of Jiangnan University.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with brain tissue disease or serious unstable physical disease (such as heart disease, cerebral infarction, etc.); 2. History of use of drugs and psychoactive substances that affect cognitive function within 2 weeks of enrollment; 3. History of electroconvulsive therapy in the past six months.
