Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Dyslipidemia (LDL-C >=3.4 mmol/L/HDL-C =1.7 mmol/L); 2.Carotid ultrasound showing IMT >1.0mm or local IMT exceeding 50% of surrounding normal vessel wall thickness; 3. Currently not receiving lipid-lowering medication; 4. No history of cardiac surgery such as coronary artery bypass grafting; 5. No regular exercise in the past 6 months, defined as <60 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity per week based on self-reported physical activity questionnaire; 6. No musculoskeletal issues; 7. Not pregnant or breastfeeding.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with a confirmed diagnosis of cardiovascular disease (such as coronary heart disease, heart failure, severe arrhythmia), poorly controlled hypertension (such as systolic blood pressure >200 mmHg), diabetes, etc.; 2. Presence of any absolute contraindications to exercise, such as acute infection, recent myocardial infarction, aortic dissection, severe renal insufficiency, etc. Individuals with musculoskeletal or neurological disorders affecting exercise capacity, or those who recently underwent lower extremity arterial surgery; 3. Recent (e.g., within 3 months) ongoing use of cardiovascular medications or drugs affecting metabolism; 4. Individuals with a recent (e.g., within 6 months) history of regular exercise habits (e.g.,>=60 minutes per week of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity); 5. Pregnant or lactating women; 6. Presence of severe organ failure, malignancy, cognitive or psychiatric disorders precluding study compliance, orother conditions deemed unsuitable for study participation by the investigator.
