Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Criteria for patients with sepsis: The subtypes of sepsis are defined according to the 2021 International Guidelines for the Management of sepsis and septic shock; All participants are of Han ethnicity in China and are over 18 years old. 2. Health control criteria: No recent acute diseases, autoimmune diseases, hypertension, diabetes, cancer or major chronic diseases such as heart, kidney, liver and endocrine diseases, and no history of sepsis;

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Sepsis group: Patients with a history of malignant tumors, human immunodeficiency virus, autoimmune diseases, blood disorders, or other organic diseases are excluded. Age < 2.Under 18 years old, decreased granulocyte count (< 500/µl), death within 24 hours after admission to the ICU; 3.Healthy control group: Recent acute diseases, autoimmune diseases, immune deficiency syndrome, cancer or major chronic diseases such as heart, kidney, liver and endocrine diseases, and a history of sepsis.
