Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: A total of 200 elderly patients (aged over 60) who were hospitalized in our hospital from January 2026 to December 2026 were included, and they all signed the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Neurological disorders: Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, history of stroke, or use of neuroactive drugs within the past 6 months; 2.Psychiatric disorders: Depression, schizophrenia; 3.Conditions or treatments affecting muscle metabolism: Malignant tumors, severe heart failure, endstage renal disease; current use of glucocorticoids, androgens, or growth hormone; receipt of immunosuppressants or chemotherapy within the past 3 months; 4.Major organ dysfunction:Severe liver disease (ChildPugh class B/C or ALT/AST > 3 × upper limit of normal);Renal insufficiency (eGFR < 30 mL/min/1.73 m²);Heart failure (NYHA class III–IV) or myocardial infarction within the past 6 months; 5.Inability to undergo bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA), e.g., patients with implanted cardiac pacemakers or similar devices; 6.Conditions affecting grip strength, such as rotatorcuff injuries; 7.Inability to complete independent gait-speed testing, e.g., severe arthritis, visual impairment, balance disorders, etc;
